Together with photographer Judith Quax I am working on a new project on the legacy of the famous Fela Kuti.�The Nigerian Afro-beat musician Fela Kuti (1938-1997) was not only very influential as a musician but also as a social activist.

We started this project while we were in Lagos last October. It’s an ongoing project so there’s much more to come!�The first series of photos we made in Fela Kuti’s nightclub Shrine in Lagos, Nigeria. You can check the new portfolio out here!.

Prime Minister Rutte visiting President Obama | November 29, 2011

Last Monday and Tuesday I photographed the Dutch Prime Minister Rutte visiting Washington DC for a meeting with President Obama in the White House.�Photographing for the Dutch Embassy made it possible to photograph Prime Minister Rutte during on and off-press moments during his trip.�It was an amazing experience!
